Bulbasaur Trio--Part 2, Ivysaur



Materials:
Yarn in a light blue/blue greenish or any desired color
Felt in white and a darker shade of the yarn
Fabric paint for toes (can be made with felt, as shown in the picture, as well--they come off very easily though)
Small amount of yarn in green and pink
Stuffing
Choose a hook according to the type of yarn you use (I used a G hook with worsted weight)

Head

Ch 2
Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Rnd 3: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc (18 sc)
Rnd 4: sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (24 sc)
Rnd 5: sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (30 sc)
Rnd 6: sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (36 sc)
Rnd 7: sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (42 sc)
Rnd 8-10: sc in each sc around
Rnd 11: sc in next 5 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (36 sc)
Rnd 12: sc in next 4 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (30 sc)
Rnd 13: sc in next 3 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (24 sc)
Rnd 12: sc in next 2 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (18 sc)
Rnd 13: sc in next sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (12 sc)

Fasten off and weave through remaining sc, pulling gently to close.

Rnd 7: sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (42 sc)

Round 24: sc in next 5 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (36 sc)
Round 25: sc in next 4 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (30 sc)

Rnd 3: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc around (18 sc)
Rnd 4-8: sc in each sc around
Row 9: working in rows, sc across 9 sc, turn (9 sc)
Row 10-11: sc in each sc across
Row 12: sc dec in next 2 sc, repeat once, sc in next 3 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc, repeat in last 2 sc (5 sc)
Row 13: sc dec in next 2 sc, sc in next sc, sc dec in last 2 sc (3 sc)
Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Front legs (Make 2)

Repeat Rnds 1-8 of back legs
Row 10-12: sc in next 7 sc, turn
Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Sew front and back legs to body as shown.

Ears (Make 2)
Rnd 1: Ch 2, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook (3 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (6 sc)
Rnd 3: sc in each sc around (6 sc)
Rnd 4: 2 sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Rnd 5: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc around (18 sc)
Rnd 6: sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat around (24 sc)
Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. Sew to head.



Bud
Rnd 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Rnd 3: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc around (18 sc)

Fasten off.
Forming a spiral, sew excess row in the middle of the bud, adding extra stuffing if necessary.

Leaf (Make 4)

Row 1: Ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch sp across to last ch sp, 2 sc in last ch sp, turn and sc across other side of ch row, ch 1, turn (8 sc)
Row 2: 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc across to the point of the leaf, 2 sc in each of next 2 sc, sc in remaining sc to last sc, 2 sc in last sc, ch 1, turn (12 sc)
Row 3: repeat row 2 (16 sc)
Row 4: repeat row 2 (20 sc)
Row 5: repeat row 2 (24 sc)
Row 6: repeat row 2 (28 sc)
Row 7: repeat row 2 (32 sc)
Edging: sc in first 2 sc, ch 1, turn, sc across 2 sc, ch 1, turn, sc in each sc and on side of last 2 rows made, *sc in next sc on Row 7, sc in next 2 sc, ch 1, turn, sc across last 2 sc made, ch 1, turn, sc in each sc and on side of last 2 rows, repeat from * along both sides of leaf, sl st to main part of leaf and fasten off.

Sew leafs around flower bud onto back as shown.

With felt, make eyes, mouth ears and spots. With fabric paint, make 3 toes on each foot.
